PTFE Coatings

PTFE coatings are the first choice where low friction, non-stick, dry lubrication, or corrosion resistance are required. Commonly referred to as Teflon® or Xylan®, the coatings that we apply are high-performance fluoropolymers which give unique improvements and solve many problems by modifying the surface properties of the original part.

There are many other applications and industries where PTFE coatings provide improvements. As well as PTFE coatings, we also apply PFA and FEP coatings, either as a pure fluoropolymer or in a wide range of formulations that are blended with resins and pigments to suit countless applications.

Epoxy Coatings

Epoxy coatings and inorganic zinc-rich coatings have long been used to protect ships and marine structures from corrosion. Research and development in binder and pigments have improved the durability of coatings for other severe environments. The most common coating systems were silicone-modified polymers and fluorine-modified polymers. Moreover, two more new vinyl monomers have been developed for ambient curing coatings, namely: polysiloxane vinyl monomers with silanol groups, and alicyclic epoxy-functional vinyl monomers.3

Fiber Glass Coatings

Pour a small pool of epoxy resin/hardener near the center of the cloth. Spread the epoxy over the fiberglass cloth surface with a plastic spreader, working the epoxy gently from the pool into the dry areas. Use a foam roller or brush to wet out fabric on vertical surfaces. Properly wet out fabric is transparent.

Fiberglass coatings are high performance options that are ideal for wash bays, clean rooms and chemical storage units. They are ideal for protection against not just day-to-day physical abuse, but against aggressive acids, alkaline and other chemicals.

Phenolic coatings

Phenolic coatings offer consistent high-quality corrosion protection for a wide range of applications including immersion service for most acids, solvents, and salts. This epoxy phenolic coating is chemical resistant and typically used where low pH environments and higher temperatures are factors.
